U-Line HNP115 Chewable Ice Repair

An HNP115 is the machine people buy for the ice itself: soft, chewable nuggets for a kitchen or home bar. It fits in a 15-inch undercounter opening, which means a short water line, a nearby drain, and very little room to see what is happening behind the toe kick.
When one of these loses output, the machine keeps running, and that hides the real cause. We look for scale first, because the auger shaft and the freezing cylinder are both bathed in your water supply all day. Hard water leaves a film that makes the auger motor pull harder and turns out fewer nuggets per hour.
A puddle under the base is a separate question. We trace it to the inlet fitting, the cylinder seal, or the drain connection, and we give you the price for that repair in writing before work begins.
A scaled freezing cylinder and a partly blocked inlet screen are the two things we check. Either one cuts nugget production while the auger motor keeps turning, so we descale, measure the water flow, and test the motor under load.
The usual routes are the inlet fitting, the drain line, or a worn seal at the freezing cylinder. We dry the base, run a cycle, and watch each joint until we find the drip, then quote the repair.
The interval depends on how hard your water is. In hard-water homes a yearly cleaning keeps the auger load down, and a softer supply stretches that out. We can test your water and advise a schedule.
