On U-Line Echelon 2000 models with the 2010 control that have an ice maker, only the CO2175F, the CLRCO2175 and the CO2175DWR, a scrolling SP, Ice, Off display means Ice Maker Off mode is active. You turn it on by pressing ON/OFF and the up arrow three times. The message is a status, and the ice maker makes no ice while it shows.
1. Read the display and confirm it scrolls SP, Ice, Off. 2. Press ON/OFF and the up arrow three times to switch the mode again. 3. Wait for the display to return to the set point. 4. Give the ice maker several hours to make ice. 5. If the message stays, call us.
Ice Maker Off mode stops ice production on purpose. The scrolling SP, Ice, Off message confirms it. Switch the mode off and ice making resumes. It is a setting, not a failure.
Only the CO2175F, the CLRCO2175 and the CO2175DWR carry this mode, so the message will not appear on other Echelon 2000 models. Echelon 2000 units without the ice maker do not offer the mode.
If the display keeps scrolling after you press ON/OFF and the up arrow three times, call us. We check the keypad and control, and quote the price in writing first.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
