U-Line BI2015 15-Inch Built-In Ice Maker Repair

The BI2015 is a 15-inch built-in ice maker from the first generation of the Echelon 2000 line, installed beneath a counter in a kitchen, bar or basement and connected to a water line and a drain. It has been making ice for a long time, and the work it needs is the work that every older ice maker needs.
Water is the main cause. Scale narrows the inlet valve, coats the evaporator and clogs the drain, and the unit makes smaller batches while the pan holds standing water. Dust at the grille raises the temperature of the condenser, which slows freezing.
We check the supply and valve, descale the water path, clear the drain, test the bin thermostat and clean the grille and coil. The 15-inch cabinet leaves little room, so we slide it out only as far as needed. Your price is written before any part is ordered, and repairs carry a 30-day warranty.
Scale in the water path and a dusty condenser both slow production. We descale, clear the valve screen and clean the coil, then time a full cycle to confirm the batch size.
The drain is partly blocked, or the pump is clogged with scale. We clear the line and test the pump so water leaves after each cycle.
It stops ice making once the bin is full. If it fails, the unit overfills or stops early, so we test it with a probe on every visit.
