What 11 means

On U-Line 15-inch nugget ice makers such as the UONB115, UONP115, UHNB115 and UHNP315, the display shows the number 11 when the water level in the tray or reservoir is high. The control also reads this as the unit not producing ice fast enough. The panel prints 11 without a letter, and this number replaces the E11 label some owners expect to see.

Common causes of 11

  • Water level in the reservoir reads high
  • Ice production is running slower than the water coming in
  • The level reading and the real water level disagree
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Check that the ice maker sits level. 2. Look for ice or debris blocking the bin opening. 3. Switch the machine off for a few minutes, then back on. 4. Confirm the water supply line is not kinked. 5. If 11 stays on, call us rather than draining the reservoir yourself.

! Why to stop there
  • A high reading comes from the supply side or the ice side, and we separate the two
  • Draining or tilting a nugget machine leaves water where it should not be
  • You see a written price first, and our work is covered for 30 days
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

1111 questions
Is 11 the same as E11?

On these 15-inch nugget models the panel shows 11 with no letter. It means water level high, and it takes the place of the E11 wording that appeared in older listings.

Why does 11 mention slow ice production?

The control flags a high reservoir level when the machine is not making ice quickly enough to use the water supplied. Ice output falls behind, and the display shows 11 until the level returns to normal.

What is the opposite of 11?

Code 12 is the low-water reading on the same models. Seeing 11 tells us the reservoir has too much water, while 12 tells us it is not receiving enough.
