On U-Line beverage centers, dr appears on the display when a door has stayed open for more than five minutes. A tone sounds along with the letters. The unit is telling you that cold air is escaping and the stored drinks are starting to warm. Once the door is closed fully, the letters and the tone go away on their own, and the cabinet starts pulling back down to its set temperature.
1. Close the door firmly and watch whether it stays shut on its own. 2. Slide back any bottles or cases that stick out past the shelf edge. 3. Wipe the gasket with warm water and look for folds or gaps along it. 4. Check that the cabinet sits level so the door does not drift open. 5. If dr returns with the door closed, call us.
It means a door has been open longer than five minutes. The unit beeps and shows dr as a reminder. Closing the door fully normally stops the tone and clears the letters within moments.
Check whether a bottle is resting against the door or the gasket is folded, since either keeps the closed position from being detected. Clear the edge and push the door shut. If dr remains, the door sensing needs a check from us.
A few minutes of open door adds some warmth, but a quick close lets the compartment recover. If the alert ran for a long stretch, give the unit several hours to return to its set temperature before judging the contents.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
