U-Line beverage centers use a door alert to warn you when a door is left open. After five minutes with the door open, a tone sounds once every minute and dr shows on the display. The alert exists to protect the stored drinks from warming, and it stops as soon as the door is closed. If the tone keeps sounding with the door shut, the door sensing needs attention.
1. Shut the door fully and listen for the tone to stop. 2. Take out anything touching the door edge, then close it again. 3. Wipe the gasket with warm water and check that it lies flat. 4. Confirm the cabinet sits level. 5. If the tone sounds again with the door closed, call us to check the door sensing.
The alert begins after the door has been open five minutes. From then on a tone sounds each minute and dr appears on the display. Both stop once the door is closed properly.
The alert is a built-in reminder tied to the door position, so the simplest way to silence it is to close the door. If it sounds with the door shut, the door switch or the seal fit is what needs checking.
Not by itself. It tells you the door has been open past five minutes. After you close it, the cooling system restarts the pull-down and the compartment returns to its setpoint over a few hours.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
