On the U-Line CLR2060 clear ice machine with the first-generation Echelon board, two flashes of the board LED mean an open thermistor or a reading out of range because the machine is too warm. Three flashes means both conditions exist. Only interrupting power clears the codes; the ON/OFF/CLN switch does not. You see two blinks, a pause and a repeat, and the machine stops making ice until power is interrupted.
1. Check the clearance around the machine and the room temperature. 2. Clean the grille and vents. 3. Interrupt power for a minute, because the ON/OFF/CLN switch does not clear it. 4. Restore power and watch the LED. 5. If two or three flashes return, call us.
No. Only interrupting power clears two flashes or three flashes. Unplug for a minute or switch off the breaker. Pulling the plug for a minute works.
Three flashes shows both conditions together: the thermistor is open or out of range, and the machine is too warm. Each condition is checked separately on a visit.
We test the thermistor, check airflow and cooling, repair what is found and confirm the LED stays steady. Written price first and a 30-day warranty.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
