On U-Line Echelon 2000 refrigerators such as the 2175RF and the 2275ZWC, E3 means the main door or the bottom drawer has stayed open longer than 20 minutes. The control beeps once every minute until you close the door, and closing it resets the alert. If the light and display stay on with the door shut, the door magnet needs a check. The code is not available on the CLR2160.
1. Push the door and the bottom drawer fully shut. 2. Move bottles or food that keep either one from closing. 3. Wipe the gasket so it seals flat. 4. Watch whether the beeping stops and the light goes off. 5. If the light and display stay on with everything closed, call us about the magnet.
E3 beeps once a minute after the door or bottom drawer has been open for more than 20 minutes. Closing the door resets it. It is a reminder, not a failed part.
If the light and display stay on with the door shut, the control is not sensing the closed door, which points to the magnet. We check the magnet and replace what is not working.
Warm room air enters quickly, so check temperatures after a long open period. Perishables above 41 F for hours should be discarded. Once the door closes, the unit pulls the cabinet back down.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
