On U-Line Echelon 2000 refrigerators with the 2010 control, such as the 2175RF and the CLRCO2175, a flashing degree symbol or snaking characters on the display means showroom (demo) mode. Only the control and the cabinet lights work, and the compressor and fans do not run. You exit it by holding COLDER and pressing LIGHT three times; units with software 2.8 exit on unplug.
1. Confirm the lights work but the unit is warm. 2. Hold COLDER and press LIGHT three times. 3. Watch for the flashing display to stop. 4. On software 2.8, unplug the unit and plug it back in. 5. If the display stays, call us.
In showroom mode only the control and cabinet lights work. The compressor and fans stay off, so the cabinet warms. Exit the mode and cooling begins again. Lights and display stay on, which makes it look like the unit works.
Hold COLDER and press LIGHT three times. Software 2.8 exits when the unit is unplugged. Cooling restarts after the mode ends. Exit takes only a few seconds.
If the flashing degree symbol stays after you try both methods, call us. We check the control, and you get the price in writing before work starts.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
