U-Line ACR014 Narrow Icemaker Repair

At 14 inches, the ACR014 is the narrowest ice machine in the ADA range, and it slides into the slimmest accessible openings. It makes crescent ice in a harvest cycle, dropping the cubes into a bin that suits a small kitchen or a single-station break area.
Narrow means little room for air. The condenser has very little volume to draw from, so lint on the coil or a tight cutout raises temperature and slows production quickly. The evaporator is small too, which means scale affects output sooner than on a wide machine.
We vacuum the coil and measure clearances, then descale the evaporator and check the harvest cycle. The smaller bin fills fast, so we test the bin-full sensor as well. A written price comes first, and a 30-day warranty follows.
Its condenser and evaporator are small, so dust or scale has a bigger effect than in a wide cabinet. We clean both surfaces and check the cutout clearances to restore full production.
A smaller bin does fill faster. If the machine stops while the bin still has room, the bin-full sensor is misreading, and we clean and test it with a hand in the bin.
Water freezes onto the evaporator, then a harvest cycle warms it briefly so the cubes release into the bin. We check each step when output drops, starting with scale on the evaporator.
