On U-Line clear ice makers such as the CLR2060, CLR2160 and CO1224F, Drain Blocked means the drain pump is blocked or overloaded. LED 3 flashes, and the number of flashes tells us more. One flash points to an open overflow circuit, and two flashes point to an open thermistor. The overflow condition is also called P60. You see the light flashing and the machine stops making ice.
1. Count the LED 3 flashes and write the number down. 2. Switch the machine off and let it rest a few minutes. 3. Check that the drain hose is not kinked or crushed. 4. Make sure the drain outlet is clear. 5. Switch it back on and call us if LED 3 starts flashing again.
One flash means the overflow circuit is open, and two flashes mean a thermistor is open. The overall condition is a blocked or overloaded drain pump. Tell us the count when you call.
P60 is the overflow label for the one-flash case. It belongs to the same Drain Blocked indication on these clear ice models, so the flash count and P60 describe the same event.
Emptying the bin does not address a pump problem. Checking that the drain hose is straight is worthwhile, but a repeating flash pattern needs us to test the pump circuit.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
