U-Line HCR115 Crescent Ice Repair

The HCR115 is a 15-inch built-in crescent ice maker in the 1 Class Collection. It makes up to 25 lbs. of ice per day, holds 25 lb. in the bin, and needs no drain, so it fits where a drain line would be hard to run. Finishes include black, white, stainless or integrated.
With no drain, water control is everything. The inlet valve has to shut fully, or the mold overfills and the cubes come out stuck together. Scale on the evaporator stalls the harvest, and the bin-full sensor can stop production while the bin is only part full.
We test the valve, descale the evaporator and clean the sensor, in that order. Written pricing comes before work, with a 30-day warranty.
The machine is built without a drain connection, so we focus on the inlet valve and the bin. If water collects, the valve is the first part we test for a full shut-off.
The inlet valve is overfilling the mold, so the cubes freeze into one mass. We test the valve, replace it if it passes water, and run a harvest to confirm the cubes separate.
The bin-full sensor is dirty or misreading. We clean it, test it with a hand in the bin, and replace it if it keeps ending the cycle while the 25 lb. bin has space.
