U-Line 2115R Echelon Refrigerator Repair

A burned-out interior light is the first thing most 2115R owners notice, and it rarely says anything about the cooling. Still, an older Echelon cabinet is worth a full look when the light goes, because the same years of door openings have worked on the fan and the control.
The evaporator fan is the part that moves cold air through the cabinet. When its bearing dries out, it squeals, then slows, then stops, and the shelves warm while the compressor keeps running. We spin the fan by hand and measure its current before declaring it done.
The digital control is the third check. A board that forgets its set point, or holds one that wanders by several degrees, needs replacing. We give you the price in writing first, and the door hinge gets a check since the door is reversible.
Not by itself. A lamp or socket can fail alone. We replace it and use the visit to check the fan, the gasket and the temperature so a bigger repair is not hiding behind it.
A stopped evaporator fan stops cold air from circulating. We check the fan motor and its wiring, and replace the motor if it is seized or drawing too much current.
We compare the display with a thermometer, then test the sensor and board. If the board resets its set point or drifts by several degrees, replacing it restores accurate control.
