The U-Chill Plus is the higher-specification version of the built-in bottle chiller. It chills with a cold-air jacket instead of ice, and on top of regular chilling it offers a red wine mode and a boost that runs for 30 minutes. People install it where entertaining happens: bars, islands and pantry counters.

More modes mean more control logic, so repairs here start at the crown. When boost refuses to start but normal chilling works, we test the control and its sensor rather than the refrigeration. When red wine mode lands in the wrong band, we compare the displayed setting with a thermometer reading from the chilling chamber.

The air system gets the same attention as on any chiller: blower, vent path and dust. We quote in writing and cover the repair with a 30-day warranty.

Boost mode will not start. Does the chiller still work?

Standard chilling working while boost fails points to the control or a sensor, not the cooling system. We test those, quote the part in writing, and restore the 30-minute boost.

Red wine mode feels too cold. How do you check it?

We place a thermometer in the chamber, run the mode, and compare the reading to the display. A mismatch sends us to the sensor or the control, and we replace whichever reads wrong.

How often should the vent path be cleaned?

Check it every few months for dust, since the cold-air jacket depends on clear airflow. We clean it during a visit and show you how to keep it open.
