A garage freezer or beverage center suffers the same way, with rust at the base and damp wiring. Once the rain stops, we look over the base, cord and drain pan of any U-Line unit before powering it for a test.
Ranch homes in the older areas generally have modest kitchens; the southern part of the city leans toward large kitchens full of built-ins. Outlets and circuits reflect those eras.
A U-Line unit placed in either needs a grounded outlet of its own and clear front ventilation. Where wiring is old, we say so before work and suggest an electrician for the circuit.
