On U-Line wine coolers such as the 5 Class UHWC524 and the 2000 Series 2224DWR, E0 reports that Door 1, the upper door, is open. The control has not sensed that door in its closed position, and the display holds E0 until it is shut. Door 2, the lower door, reports as E9, so the code tells you which door to close first.
1. Close the upper door and check the latch. 2. Move bottles that sit against the door. 3. Press the upper gasket flat along the opening. 4. Check that the cabinet is level. 5. If E0 stays with the door shut, call us.
E0 means Door 1, the upper door. The lower door uses E9, so each code names its own door.
Yes, once the upper door is closed and the control senses it. No reset is needed.
Not on its own. E0 is a door reading. A thermistor problem shows as E1 to E3 for open readings and E5 to E7 for shorted readings, so E0 points only at the upper door.
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
