U-Line CO2175F Ice Maker Freezer Combo Repair

The CO2175F places an ice maker and a freezer side by side in an Echelon 2000 cabinet, and it is the kind of unit that lives in a bar, a garage kitchen or a game room where ice and frozen goods are both wanted in a small footprint.
With two jobs in one cabinet, trouble in one section is mistaken for the other. A frosted freezer evaporator, a water valve that is slow to open and a clogged drain each give a different pattern, and the E1 through E11 table helps us tell which section the control is reporting on.
Our habit is to switch the ice side to Off mode first, so we can look at the freezer without a batch forming, then run a Forced Harvest to see whether the grid releases cleanly. After that we check the water supply, the drain, the gasket and the condenser grille. Pricing is written before work, and our repairs are guaranteed for 30 days.
It tells the unit to release the batch now instead of waiting for the normal cycle. We use it to see if the grid, valve and thermistors behave properly when ice is stuck.
It lets us service or defrost the freezer side without new ice forming and without water entering the pan. It is also handy before moving the unit or leaving for a long trip.
The code identifies which sensor or circuit the control is complaining about. We use it as the starting point and then confirm with a probe thermometer on the visit.
