What E13 means

On U-Line Outdoor Collection nugget ice makers such as the UONB115 and UONP115, E13 reports an auger error. The auger is the part that moves and shapes the nugget ice, and the control has detected a problem with it. You see E13 on the display and ice making stops. The code appears with the other Outdoor Collection messages for doors, water and the pump.

Common causes of E13

  • The auger is not running as the control expects
  • Ice is jamming the auger
  • The drive side is not responding
✓ One safe check you can try

1. Switch the ice maker off and let it rest for a few minutes. 2. Look in the bin for packed or frozen ice and remove it by hand. 3. Check that nothing is sitting in the ice chute. 4. Switch the unit on again. 5. If E13 returns, stop and call us.

! Why to stop there
  • An auger problem is a mechanical matter that stays hidden from outside
  • Pushing a jammed auger to run again causes more wear
  • We give a written price first, and the work carries 30 days of warranty
Opening a panel yourself does not automatically cancel a manufacturer warranty, but it can cause accidental damage, and some manufacturers set their own service conditions. Check your warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.

E13E13 questions
What does E13 mean?

E13 means the control has found an auger error. The auger moves and forms the nugget ice, so ice production stops until the condition is resolved.

Can I clear a jam myself?

Removing packed ice from the bin by hand, with the unit off, is safe. Do not reach into the chute or open the unit. If E13 comes back, we take over.

Do the other outdoor codes relate to E13?

No. E9 and 10 are door readings, 11 and 12 are water level readings, and P1 is the pump circuit. E13 stands apart as the auger reading.
