Crystal Beach owners and rental managers can book U-Line repair for outdoor refrigerators, beverage centers, wine refrigerators and ice machines online or by phone. Reserve ahead and give us rental check-in and checkout times.

Local housing, power events, water conditions, and installation styles all affect how we approach U-Line diagnostics here.
Patton was the old name, and a Patton Beach post office operated from 1898 to 1900 before the early 1940s brought the Crystal Beach label. It took city status in 1971 and dropped it again in 1987.
Roughly four of every five owners have been classed as weekenders, which leaves many houses empty during the week. Units that have sat idle for a stretch are what we usually find.
The Bolivar Peninsula Special Utility District supplies Crystal Beach as part of a system of over 6,400 connections from Port Bolivar to High Island. Wells were retired in 2004 in favor of treated surface water from the Lower Neches Valley Authority, piped from near Winnie.
A switch like that can change scale patterns in an ice machine. We replace the filter and descale, with the price in writing first.
In 2008 Ike wiped out around nine of every ten beachfront houses. The replacements stand on pilings 20 feet tall, raising living space far above the ground.
Anything installed at ground level still meets salt, sand and the next surge. We check the base, plug and wiring for corrosion.
Up on the living level of a raised beach house you typically find the dishwasher, range and compact laundry. An extra refrigerator or freezer is sometimes parked underneath.
Rentals favor sturdy, simple models. We look at ventilation, the drain pump and the outlet on each.
The road to Crystal Beach runs over the Galveston ferry or all the way around via Winnie, so appointments are made ahead, generally one day out or more. If it is a rental, share the turnover times and we aim for the gap. Let us know who holds the key.
Long staircases lead up to the appliances in houses on tall pilings, so keep them clear and point us to the closest outlet. Anything stored at ground level, like a freezer or spare refrigerator, needs a look after high water reaches it, because salt on the base often means rust working toward the wiring. A soaked outlet is an electrician’s job, and a dripping ice machine line is a plumber’s.
Salty water at the base can eat into wiring and the compressor. Leave it unplugged and phone us; we inspect it and tell you if it deserves to stay.
Often, yes. Visits to Crystal Beach, Port Bolivar and High Island are grouped on one day, so finding a window that suits you is simpler.
If it has to stay downstairs, lift it onto a platform and look over the plug and base often. We are happy to inspect it whenever we visit.
